We'll Get Our Next Look at Starfield in Summer 2022

Starfield, Bethesda's Skyrim-in-space, releases November 11, 2022, but executive producer Todd Howard said fans can look forward to an extended gameplay reveal sooner than that (thanks VGC).

Howard made the informal announcement during an AMA session on Reddit after he was asked about Starfield's introducing “groundbreaking innovations." He said:

“We prefer to just show it, which should be next summer. We’re happy with the advancements we’ve been able to make, some of which you can see in the trailer shot in-game.”

A New Starfield Reveal Could Arrive In Summer Of 2022

Howard also said the character creation and customization for the game have become innovative and more detailed than ever. Players will have the option to pick their background skills, pronouns, as well as the assurance that they will record "all the relevant dialogue [from the game's 150,000 lines of it] to support that choice.”

When it launches, Starfield will have full mod support as well.

Starfield was first announced in 2018, though we've only just started learning more about it in short bursts from Bethesda, such as a brief reveal about locations, and in leaks, such as a recent one about Mandalorian-inspired armor in the game.
