The expansion will arrive in the Holiday of 2021, but there's no set date as yet.
We'll update this in the coming months.
Star Wars The Old Republic Legacy of the Sith Expansion: New Content
Legacy of the Sith will introduce new 'Combat Styles', which will mean Class Story can be separated from gameplay.
How does that work in practice? Well, it means you can mix and match your setup. Here's what Bioware says:
This frees up Advanced Class options as characters can choose any Advanced Class within the Tech or Force playstyle! Play as a Trooper wielding a Sniper Rifle, or a Sith Inquisitor with a lightsaber in each hand, or even secretly use Dark Side powers while posing as a member of the Jedi Order. Loadouts will increase your ability to customize, allowing you to swap between playstyles and gear with a click.
The developer is also promising to take a "deeper look at improving the overall player experience for both newcomers and veterans alike", including a new character creation setup.
Star Wars The Old Republic Legacy of the Sith Expansion: Story
Legacy of the Sith sends players to Manaan, to establish a new base of operations, with Imperial and Republic storylines.
Players will be hunting Darth Malgus, who is pursuing "an unknown plan", and their journey will take them to a Sith Fortress on Elom, as well as a new R-4 Anomaly Operation.
Star Wars The Old Republic Legacy of the Sith Expansion: Shadows of the Underworld
The expansion kicks off the new season, themed around the Shadow Syndicate.
"A new batch of rewards themed around the Shadow Syndicate--including Fen Zeil, a Duros Gunslinger and first Duros Companion in The Old Republic --will be available to all participating players," Bioware explains.
"The new season will also come with a host of quality-of-life improvements, thanks to player feedback from our inaugural season in Game Update 6.3."
