Sniper Elite VR Launches Next Month On July 8

After Rebellion Developments' initial announcement two years ago, Sniper Elite VR is launching next month on July 8. Confirming the news during Sony's latest PlayStation VR spotlight, this entry is also making its way to Steam VR, Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift on the same date.

Retaining signature mechanics like the x-ray kill cam, we'll have access to rifles, SMGs, shotguns and more throughout the game. As part of this update, Rebellion also offered this brief story outline.

You will experience a powerful World War II story through the eyes of an Italian Partisan, rising with your brothers and sisters to protect your homeland from the fascist forces that threaten to destroy your homeland.

It's not Rebellion's first foray into VR development either. Back in 2016, they released a remake of Atari's classic Battlezone as a PSVR launch title, eventually coming to PC VR too. Followed by Arca's Path VR two years later, both games received a positive reception, so Sniper Elite fans are in seemingly good hands.
