Second Extinction: How to Get More Research Points

Second Extinction is a game where three friends can kill dinosaurs to get materials and make cool stuff to kill more dinosaurs, which is probably why it’s been a fairly popular title, if a wee bit niche.

It can be annoying to get some of these materials or currencies, especially if they involve killing some of the tougher dinosaurs in Second Extinction, but that’s part of the fun to many and we’re here to show you how to get more of the game’s Research Points.

Second Extinction: How to Get More Research Points

For those unfamiliar, Research Points in Second Extinction are a form of currency used to unlock upgrades and better weapons, which is why players want to get as many of them as possible.

Thankfully, getting these aren’t too hard, as players will mostly have to grind for them and that’s not too bad in this game, at least when compared to other looter shooters.

Killing dinosaurs in Second Extinction is the most basic way to get those Research Points, so make sure to shoot them down before you finish a mission.

Players that run into hives shouldn’t destroy them right away since these spawn dinosaurs and should be great for farming Research Points in Second Extinction.

Research Points can also be gained by completing the game’s side objectives, which are easier to find if you take out the drones in a Second Extinction mission.

Completing Optional Objectives will also net you a good amount of Research Points so do your best to beat them.

Second Extinction is now available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
