Sea of Thieves: Season Two Renown Guide

Sea of Thieves Season Two is finally here with new cosmetics and challenges for us to work through.

However, if you're looking to get to tier 100 as soon as possible, you'll want to know the fastest way to get renown.

Play the Game

Unlike other games, you'll unlock renown and progress through the pass with ease just by playing the game how you normally would.

This means you don't need to go out of your way to progress, and can continue to play the aspects of SoT you enjoy most.

However, if you're trying to progress as fast as possible, there are a few things you can do to optimise the speed at which you get renown.

Completing Trials

Completing Trials is easily the fastest way to increase your experience.

Every Trial is available as soon as you login, unlike other games which stagger the release of challenges so you continue to come back and play the game.

There are also plenty of Tall Tale focussed trials, meaning you can progress your season pass while pushing through the main story content in SoT.

Miscellaneous Tasks

You will also gain renown from doing small objectives.

When you first launch the game, visit the merchant and interact with the small blue book next to the merchant stand. From here, you can purchase one of each resource crate. This will contribute to one of your deeds.

You can also change all your equipment, weapons and armour at the relevant chests. Once equipped, this will go towards completing another deed.
