Is Sea of Thieves Coming To PS5 and PS4?

Sea of Thieves is one of those games that didn’t have much to offer fans when it first came out but slowly got better as Rare updated the title with more features, to the point that it now has a second season of content.

Thanks to this new lease of life, not to mention being a part of Xbox Game Pass and next-gen improvements, Sea of Thieves has gained popularity and is now considered by some fans as a must-have title, with many Sony fanboys hoping it’ll come to PS4 or PS5.

Is Sea of Thieves Coming To PS5 and PS4?

Unfortunately, it’s doubtful that we will be seeing Sea of Thieves on a PlayStation console anytime soon, as Rare is a studio owned by Microsoft and if there was any interest in bringing the game to other systems it would have hit the Switch by now.

It’s no secret that Microsoft does not have a lot of exclusives for the Xbox One or Xbox Series X right now, so if Sea of Thieves is getting people interested in getting an Xbox system then Microsoft will keep the game in these systems.

While we have seen games like Cuphead or Ori and the Blind Forest in other systems, we have yet to see a title from Rare ported to PS4 or Nintendo Switch, so I doubt that Sea of Thieves will make an appearance elsewhere anytime soon.

Unless Microsoft changes their mind or the console wars suddenly end, it looks like Sea of Thieves fans should stick with their Xbox One, Xbox Series X, or PC.

Sea of Thieves is now available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
