Would You Play Mario Bros. In Rocket League?

It’s a question as old as time; would you play Mario Bros. in Rocket League? It’s the kind of niggling thing we’ve all been dealing with since the inception of both games, which came out at basically the same time when you consider the fact that time is infinite and our existence is a mere blip that’s indiscernible from the rest of the blips that occur over any given eternity.

Alright, maybe it’s not a question that people have actually been asking, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a think about answering it. After all, mods and custom maps in Rocket League are improving all the time, and it means that the options available for players on PC are basically limitless. Also, Lethamyr made Mario Bros. in Rocket League.

As you can probably see from the video, we’re not talking about the version of Mario that most people know of nowadays, but the old-school arcade game that pitted you against each other. It’s actually an immense amount of fun, and can be one of the more hectic and tense ways to play against each other if you have access to it.

Well, Lethamyr went ahead and made it in Rocket League thanks to recently mastering 2d gameplay, and it looks like an absolute riot. You and the other players all have to deal with the ball not only bouncing around as normal, but also the fact that everyone can teleport from one side of the screen to the other, and you can even use the POW block to yeet everyone into the sky.

Leth even shows off how the game mode looks from a more traditional viewpoint, although it looks a little more horrifying when he does so, especially with the dark all-consuming abyss waiting for you at either end and inside of the goals/warp pipes. Also, sorry about the existential stuff in the intro, never read too much up on science and time or it’ll do that to your head.
