How to Save Your Game in Resident Evil Village
To save your game in Resident Evil Village you have two main options:
- Reach autosave points in the story
- Use typewriters found around the map
The first option is easy, as it will trigger automatically as you play. For typewriters you will need to find them. We'll detail some locations later on in this article.
How Does Auto-Saving Work
Resident Evil Village will autosave at certain points. You'll see a white/light blue circle icon in the top left of the screen when this happens, indicating that you have triggered a checkpoint. If you die or quit the game, you will continue from this point, handy for boss fights and other tricky areas.
As you reveal more of the map in Resident Evil Village you will see typewriter icons. These indicate save points. To avoid spoiling later locations, we'll say that there is a typewriter in the church in the opening area. This is easily reachable and will likely be the one you use the most.
