Resident Evil Village: How to Open Mechanical Doors and Drawbridges

While exploring the many areas of Resident Evil Village you'll occasionally come across Mechanical Doors. These can only be opened using a specific item which you won't get until partway through the story. Resident Evil Village: How to Open Mechanical Doors

To open Mechanical Doors in Resident Evil Village you will need to find the Crank Item. This can only be found after reaching Moreau's area, the one with all the windmills and slime. Until this point, you will not be able to open Mechanical Doors.

Crank Location

To find the Crank item in Resident Evil Village you will need to head to Windmill Two. You'll find a spare crank here that can be used to turn both windmills. You'll keep it once you've used it on the Windmills, meaning you can use it to open Mechanical Doors around the map.

Opening Mechanical Doors

If you check your map you will see Mechanical Doors marked. You'll need to approach them and interact, bringing up the Key Items menu. Use the Crank to open these doors. There's one in the area you entered Moreau's domain so test it out there.
