Rainbow Six Siege keeps growing, and we know more about its sixth year of content than we have about any year prior.
That doesn't mean there aren't plenty of surprises in store, though. Here's what we do know, and we'll be updating this page as we hear more.

Everything We Know About Rainbow Six Siege Year 6 Season 2
Operation Name
We don't yet have any idea as to what the title of the new season will be, but we'll likely be able to lean on some longtime dataminers as we approach.
Release Date
With each season running for around three months, expect the latest Operation to land around June.
It could arrive in July, but if that was the case, we'd still expect the test server a month prior.
New Operator and Gadget
The next Operator will be of aboriginal descent, but that's about all we know so far.
With Crimson Heist's Flores being an attacker, we'd wager a new defender will arrive next.
Map Rework
Each of the Year 5 seasons has offered a map rework as Ubisoft continues to refine Siege's pool of existing content, and the next Operation will also rework a map.
In fact, we know ahead of time that it's Favela that'll be getting the rework treatment.
Playlist Changes
The game's newcomer playlist has recently been changed to help introduce players to new maps more quickly.
Previously a fixed trio of maps, players will now be able to jump into the following:
- Bank
- Oregon
- Club House
- Cafe Dostoyevsky
- Coastline
Additionally, the "seasonal map" will be part of the rotation – so for in Operation 2 of Year 6, you'll see Favela enter the rotation.
