Rainbow Six Siege Halloween Event 2021: Start Time Countdown To Doktor's Curse Return

Rainbow Six Siege is in its sixth year of content now, and the game receives near-constant updates and tweaks. It's also no stranger to limited-time events, including last year's Sugar Fright Halloween mode. While we don't know whether it'll return, it certainly made an impact, giving our favourite Operators Muppet-like features. Here's what we know so far about 2021's Halloween Event.

Ubisoft has announced that the frightful, limited-time event from Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 4, Doktor’s Curse, will be back starting tomorrow, 12 October running until 2nd November. This event brings back the Monster Hunt game mode in the same spooky but reworked, Frankenstein version of the Theme Park map where Doc’s dreadful horrors are roaming. But this time, monsters will hunt monsters.

In this new version of the 5v5 Monster Hunt mode, some Monsters (Lion and Jackal) have joined the side of the Exterminators. The Sledges are back and again, they only wield Sledge hammers as weapons and one gadget from a selection of three, each attached to a unique operator skin – Eyenox Model III (Jackal), Heartbeat Sensor (Pulse) and EE-ONE-D (Lion). They will face five other Monsters: a cast composed of Lesion, Frost, Kapkan, Smoke, and Ela, with new additions of Aruni and Melusi. The defending Monsters have no weapons but can use traps and a unique ability created for this mode: become momentarily invisible and run faster to escape. The attacking Monsters’ goal is to kill all the opponents, while the defending Monsters must try to survive the round.

The Doktor’s Curse Collection, including bundles for Smoke, Kapkan, Frost, Lesion, Doc, Bandit and Ela, is back, with the addition of bundles for the new Monsters: Jackal, Lion, Aruni, Melusi, and Kaid. Bundles are available for 1680 R6 Credits each or via the collection packs for 300 R6 Credits each. Each player logging in from tomorrow until 2nd November will get a Doktor’s Curse pack for free and can get three other packs by completing Ubisoft Challenges.

Rainbow Six Siege Halloween 2021 What To Expect

Could we be in for a new mode this year?

According to dataminers, defenders will be given 640 health, Oryx's dash, and barbed wire - as well as a new knife animation.

Check it out below:

Last year's event was based around Candy War, where players kill opponents and then grab their candy, Kill Confirmed style.

The mode felt like a breath of fresh air in Siege, though, because players could respawn at will, and it came with its own map, too.

As for skins, it also offered bizarre muppet-style outfits for Zofia, Capitao, IQ, Nomad, Thermite, Ela, Castle, Frost, Goyo and Pulse.

These could be purchased with R6 Credits, or earned through Sugar Fright Packs. Expect Ubisoft to stick to a similar formula this year - there are plenty more Operators to go.
