Do You Need PS Plus or Xbox Live To Play Rainbow Six Extraction?

On PlayStation, we know that Rainbow Six Extraction will require PS Plus for online play, as noted on the PlayStation Store page for the game.

That applies to the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game and allows up to three players to play online together.

It's the same story on Xbox, too, as Microsoft's store page says the following:

Online multiplayer on Xbox requires Xbox Live Gold (subscription sold separately).

While Microsoft has recently removed the Xbox Live Gold requirement to play free-to-play games, Extraction's price tag means it's exempt from that rule - unfortunately.
