PUBG Mobile 1.4 added OTS or 'Over the Shoulder' mode to the massively mobile battle royale title, but it's hidden amongst the game's untamable list of options and toggles. Here's what OTS is, how to enable over the shoulder mode, and how to fix the OTS button not appearing.
What is OTS Mode in PUBG Mobile?
The PUBG Mobile OTS mode, also known as over the shoulder, is a new way to aim. It's not a replacement for TPS or FPP mode, but an alternative to ADS.
In the past, it didn't matter whether you played in first or third-person, ADS mode meant playing the game like an FPS.
OTS mode instead allows players to keep the fan-favorite third-person perspective when aiming down sights, simply zooming in closer to the player character to make for a less jarring transition. It's the Fortnite way of aiming, basically.
How to enable OTS Mode in PUBG Mobile
OTS mode isn't labeled as such. Instead, it's called Aim Features. To enable OTS mode in PUBG Mobile, all you need to do is follow the steps below:
- Open 'Settings'.
- Tap the 'Basic' Tab.
- Scroll until you see the Aim Features option.
- Turn it on.
- Go back into the game.
How to Fix When the PUBG Mobile OTS Mode Won't Work
If the OTS button isn't showing up in-game and you're certain you've followed the steps above to enable it, there's probably a simple explanation.
The PUBG Mobile OTS button is only visible when you have a weapon equipped. It's an ADS alternative, so it makes sense that you can't use it without any sights to aim down.
Another reason could be that you haven't moved the button to a visible spot. The OTS button in PUBG Mobile can default to a spot that's already cluttered with other actions. Tap into the interface options screen and move it to your preferred spot and size.
