Sony Announce Two New DualSense Controller Colours

We saw reports last week suggesting Sony were preparing alternative DualSense colours, offering new Red and Black options for PlayStation 5 owners, which came from Spanish website Area Jugones. As it turns out, that leak was right on the money, as Sony's just confirmed two new variants are on the way.

The first is "Midnight Black", which offers two shades of Black and Sony advise the former is designed to "reflect how we view space through the night sky". Meanwhile, "Cosmic Red" takes inspiration from "the unique vivid shades of red found throughout the cosmos."

Presently, we don't have an exact date for when they'll become available, only that they'll become available next month. As such, Sony advise to check participating retailers for these new colours.

With reports that Sony's also developing a PlayStation 5 redesign to enter production next year, hopefully we'll see some new colour variants for the console too. Until then though, these certainly make a nice option for players, and we'll keep you updated on where to find them in stock.
