Sony's Finally Letting Us Change Our PS5's Colour, Offering New DualSense Controllers Too

Sony's announced new colours for their PS5 DualSense controllers. Following on from the Midnight Black and Cosmic Rose variants, they're continuing this "galaxy-inspired" theme with Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple.

Furthermore, Sony revealed they're also releasing new PS5 console covers, allowing players to swap out the existing white plates. Matching all five of the existing DualSense colours, they'll work with both standard and Digital Edition PS5 consoles.

PS5's Getting Pink, Blue, and Purple Controllers Next Month, Alongside Console Covers

These controllers go on sale across January 2022, launching at "participating retailers" across numerous countries, covering: USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines.

However, it's a more scattered release for the console covers. While UK, US, France and German buyers have early access to the Midnight Black and Cosmic Red editions through PlayStation Direct on January 14th - later becoming available elsewhere on February 11th - Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue covers instead launch during the "first half of 2022."

We don't have a more specific release date for those three just yet, but we'll keep you informed as we learn more.
