Original Story Follows - It's been a crazy November and something tells us that between the launch of a new PS5 console, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and so many other top-quality games, that most PlayStation fans might be a little short for change.

A good thing then that PS5 owners are entitled to the PS Plus collection and 20 excellent games.

That should certainly see fans through winter.

But what about PS4 owners? Those millions of PS4 owners who have yet to upgrade their home console.

Well no need to panic, because we're fast approaching the end of November, and that means a new set of PS Plus free games are set to be unveiled soon.

Currently, PS Plus owners in November can grab the Lord of the Rings inspired action-adventure 'Middle-earth: Shadow of War' as well as indie darling 'Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition'. Plus PS5 owners can also grab Bugsnax.

But it won't be long before the December Games are announced. So if you're wondering when Sony will announce the next batch of freebies, read on, we'll explain everything you need to know.

When will PS Plus December 2020 free games be confirmed?

We imagine that most Sony PlayStation fans will know how this works, however, for the sake of anyone who might be new to the PlayStation ecosystem, here's a quick explainer.

Traditionally PS Plus games have always been announced on the last Wednesday of the month at 4.30pm on the dot.

The announced titles then become available to download from the PSN store on the first Tuesday of the month.

Some months this means the games arrive a bit earlier. But some months, it means there's a slightly longer wait than normal.

In the case of PS Plus December, fans don't have to wait too much longer.

Due to the way the days have fallen in the month, Sony will announce the PS Plus December 2020 free games lineup on Wednesday, November 25th.

At that point, the games should become available to download on the first Tuesday of the month from the PSN store. Meaning the new December PS Plus games go live on 1st December 2020.
