If this starter Hoenn Pokemon is your choice in the new Mystery Dungeon game, here's our guide!
Be sure to watch our wide variety of Pokemon content here!
The Generation 3 fire-type is available as the player or partner through the main game.
Usually, Torchic is chosen if the personality results are Hasty (for males) and Sassy (for females) in nature.
Its mobility is characterised by fire, meaning that it can travel through lava tiles but not water/cloud tiles and walls.
As Torchic is a fire type, he will be weak to water, ground and rock type Pokemon, meaning you should pair it with an electric or water type such as Pikachu, Squirtle, Totodile or Mudkip.
How To Get Torchic
Torchic can be chosen at the start of the game as either the player or partner.
Torchic can be recruited exclusively at Joyous Tower with a recruit rate of 11.9%.
You will come across a Lv12 Torchic with a rarity of:
- 11th floor (20.51%)
- 12th-13th floor (23.53%)
- 14th floor (21.63%)
- 15th floor (24.24%)
Evolution does not play a massive part in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, so it is perfectly ok to keep Torchic as he is.
Although stats do not increase from evolution, moves can vary once it evolves into Combusken or Blaziken.
If you do wish to evolve Torchic, you will need to finish the main story and enter the Luminous Cave - be sure to check our evolution guide for more details.
