Pokemon Home: How To Transfer Pokemon To Sword And Shield Isle of Armor And The Crown Tundra


Pokemon Home has been out for a few months now and has been a great service for some players.

It goes hand in hand with titles, such as Pokemon Sword and Shield, whether they are at home or on the go to complete their Pokedex.

The mobile app is going to make Pokemon trading a lot easier and will set people up nicely for the new Crown Tundra DLC releasing today!

One of the features of Pokemon Home is that you will be able to transfer Pokemon from Sword and Shield to Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee. Let's take a look at how to do this!

How To Transfer Pokemon From Home To Sword And Shield

Although we do not know the full details about how you will be able to move Pokemon from each game, we do know there are some restrictions in terms of which games we can transfer Pokemon from.

For instance, we know we are able to transfer between Sword and Shield, but there is a catch.

Once you transfer your Pokemon from other games, you can no longer transfer them back; so be sure you are confident you want to transfer them!

We can assume the process of transferring Pokemon from one game to another is going to be a rather simple process.

But, we'll go over some of the restrictions you may encounter depending on the subscription you have for Pokemon Home!

When transferring to and from Sword and Shield, this can only be done on the Nintendo Switch version of the app.

So, if you wanted to move a Pokemon from Home to your Sword and Shield game, they will need to be in your Home and transferred via the Switch version of the app. If you wanted to move a Pokemon from Sword and Shield to your Home, they will need to be in your game and transferred via the Switch version of the app.

Pokemon have essentially made the need to have both the Switch and Mobile version of the app.

If you were looking to transfer a Pokemon from the Pokemon Bank or Pokemon Go, you would need to use the mobile app. Then change to the Switch app to complete the process.

One of the neat things about Pokemon Home is there is also going to be a way to transfer Pokemon from 3DS titles over to Sword and Shield.

Although if you are eager to do this, it is going to cost anywhere from $2.99 USD to $15.99 USD for the entire year. However, for this month only you can do this for free.

Doing this will move your Pokemon to what Nintendo is calling the Pokemon Bank, then they will transfer over to Sword and Shield; keep in mind, like other transfer methods you will not be able to transfer them back!
