Pokemon GO: Horsea Spotlight Hour Event And August Research Breakthrough - Dates, Schedule, Rewards And More

With Pokemon GO Fest 2020 now concluding, it's back to normality in Pokemon GO as we enter a new month.

Pokemon GO's August Research Breakthrough event begins on the 1st of August.

Shortly, after we will see our first Spotlight hour taking place on the 4th of August.

It's an action-packed month - here are all of the details.

August Research Breakthrough Schedule

From Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7), Scraggy, the Shedding Pokémon, will be available as a Research Breakthrough encounter.

Spotlight Hours Schedule

Every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. local time both a Pokémon and a special bonus will be available in the Spotlight Hours!

For each Pokémon Spotlight Hour, you can expect a different Pokémon and bonus:

• Tuesday, August 4, 2020: Horsea will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for catching Pokémon.
• Tuesday, August 11, 2020: Sableye will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon.
• Tuesday, August 18, 2020: Venipede will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for evolving Pokémon.
• Tuesday, August 25, 2020: Geodude will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokémon.
