Pokémon Unite Slowbro Build - Surf???

Best for: Aggressive defense

This first Pokémon Unite Slowbro build limits its levitating ability to just its Unite Move later in the match. Before that, though, Amnesia and Surf turn Slowbro into a great top-lane defender thanks to incredibly annoying knockbacks and the refusal to take damage with Amnesia.

The core idea of this Pokémon Unite Slowbro build is pretty simple. A rotating Surf and Amnesia combo not only allows Slowbro to knock targets away from objectives like Rotom, but it can roll into team fights early and simply shrug off the damage it takes until its allies arrive.

You won't be dealing massive amounts of damage with this, but pairing the two makes it easier to pick your preferred character out of the enemy team, leaving them unable to defend their teammates or themselves.

This build isn't radically different from the last, but it focuses more on controlling the enemy team than outright defeating them. By using Surf as an engagement tool and Telekinesis as a follow-up, you increase your odds of removing one enemy from the larger fight.

Slowbro's ability to stagger damage taken means there's little chance of the enemy saving their friend: whether you pick up a damage-dealer for the team to burst down or remove disruptive support or defender Pokémon instead is up to you. Weigh up the pros and cons based on your team's strengths and weaknesses.

Whoever you decide to pick up, just remember that your main goal is to be a royal pain. Weaving Surf and Telekenisis back to back can make it impossible for the team to score points or take objectives, healing you with Shell Bell in the process. Rocky Helmet and Focus Band are there to punish those who decide to take you on.

Just focus on using Surf and Basic Attacks when defending the goal from groups, though. Using Telekinesis here without backup will have the enemy team just dunk around you before taking you down. Then your levitate buddy just scores anyway.
