Yveltal is coming to Pokemon GO during the Luminous Legends Y event

Yvletal is primed to make a debut in Pokemon GO next month, and it will be the second Kalos region Legendary to make an appearance.

On the Pokemon GO blog, the news was confirmed that Yveltal would appear in raids starting on May 18, 2021. The event, which is called Luminous Legends Y, will end on May 31, 2021 just in time for a new month of events.

Not much has been confirmed about the Luminous Legends Y event just yet. Of course, Yveltal has already been announced as the feature Pokemon. The opportunity for community-wide bonuses will make an appearance again, but what the quests are to get them remains unconfirmed. Team Rocket will be up to their usual mischief at the same time, and Dark-type Pokemon will appear more frequently.

Yveltal, Xerneas, and the Luminous Legends X event in Pokemon GO

Before Yveltal makes an appearance in Pokemon GO, Xerneas will appear as the first Kalos region legendary in the game.

Xerneas will feature as the poster Pokemon for the Luminous Legends X event, and will likely feature many of the same event activities as Luminous Legends Y. The theme of the event will be Fairy-type Pokemon rather than Dark-type which will appear in the second half of May.

In that time, three new Kalos region Pokemon will make a debut in Pokemon GO. Those three are Spritzee, Swirlix, and Goomy. In order to evolve Goomy to it's final form of Goodra, players may need to use the brand new Rainy Lure Module. Luminous Legends X begins on May 4, 2021.
