Pokemon GO Luminous Legends X: Everything To Know About The Event

Pokemon GO will finally be adding some Generation VI Pokemon to the game, starting with Xerneas in the Luminous Legends X event.

Players can expect Xerneas and Luminous Legends X to arrive on May 4, 2021. The event will run from May 4 at 10:00 am local time to May 27 at 8:00 pm local time. With the Forces of Nature trio leaving the spotlight, legendary Pokemon like Xerneas will continue on the theme of the Season of Legends.

While Luminous Legends X will feature Xerneas as the poster Pokemon, the whole Pokemon GO event is centered around Fairy-type Pokemon in the game. That means Fairy-types will appear in the wild more often, within raids of all difficulty, and in certain hatchable eggs.

What to expect in the Luminous Legends X Pokemon GO event

Xerneas isn't the only Fairy-type in the event, and it also isn't the only Kalso Pokemon that will make a debut during that time. A few Dragon and Fairy-type Pokemon will be available to catch from the Kalos region.

Those three include Swirlix, Spritzee, and Goomy. The first two will be appearing in the wild of Pokemon GO and are yet another entry in the Kalos Pokedex. Goomy can also appear in the wild, but the encounter will be rarer. Instead, players can use Rainy Lure Modules, which are new to Pokemon GO.

The Rainy Lure Modules will attract Pokemon that like that kind of weather, such as Goomy in the Luminous Legends X event. Players will also need a Rainy Lure Module or rainy weather in order to evolve a Sliggoo into a Goodra.

If players are able to collectively catch 500 million Fairy-type Pokemon during the Luminous Legends X event, then bonuses will be added to the game. For the rest of the event, a 3x catch bonus will be active, Pancham will make a debut, and shiny Galarian Ponyta will be available in Pokemon GO.
