Pokemon GO: How To Get Sylveon

Sylveon has been rumored to arrive in Pokemon GO for a couple of months, but a release date was finally confirmed on the Pokemon GO blog.

At the end of May, players can finish their collection of Eeveelutions and get their hands on a Sylveon. Each Eeveelution has its own type that sets them apart, and Sylveon fills in the role of a Fairy-type. There isn't an Eeveelution for every type, but Sylveon will round out the list nonetheless.

During part 2 of the Luminous Legends Y event, Sylveon will be the main attraction and Fairy-type Pokemon will begin to spawn more frequently again. Part 2 is set to begin on May 25 at 10 am local time, and it will end on May 31, at 8 pm local time.

However, players can still get their own Sylveon even after the event is over. The main way to do so is to have an Eevee as a buddy and earn enough hearts with the Pokemon. Once enough are earned, the silhouette for a Sylveon Evolution will appear.

As usual, players will also be able to use a name to quickly evolve an Eevee into Sylveon, but the name trick can only be used once. For Sylveon, the name that Pokemon GO players need to use is "Kira."

Sylveon and other Pokemon in the Luminous Legends Y event

Sylveon will appear in part 2 of the Luminous Legends Y event, but it's not the only one that will be featured.

Yveltal is the main attraction for both parts of the event, and is available in five-star raids. New shadow Pokemon may also make an appearance as Team GO Rocket takes over part 1 of the event.

Pancham will also be available in eggs for part 1 of the event in Pokemon GO, and players will have more time to get their own Pangoro.
