There's been a huge influx in reports of the game not working.
A quick check on DownDetector.com - which tracks outages based on social interactions - suggests that in the last few minutes there's been a huge surge in reports from fans unable to play the game.
Niantic, the developers of Pokemon GO, have also confirmed that they are having some server issues.
Writing a tweet from their official account, Niantic Support, the team told fans:
"Trainers, we’re investigating the current downtime in the app. We apologize for the inconvenience, and will update here when we have more information."
Currently, it's unclear how long the server issues could persist, but at least the devs are across it and working to provide a fix ASAP.
