The Initiative’s Perfect Dark reboot has lost its game director, marking a new major departure for this project. According to his LinkedIn account, Dan Neuburger, the aforementioned director at The Initiative, has left the developer after four years.
Fans on ResetEra discovered Neuburger leaving the Perfect Dark reboot, though it remains unknown why he left. That follows on the design director, Drew Murray, also leaving this team at the start of this year.
Perfect Dark Reboot Loses Its Director
We haven’t heard much from the Perfect Dark reboot after it was announced in 2020, with a short cinematic showing off the title. Some rumours suggest we could see Perfect Dark arrive on PC and Xbox consoles next year, but that hasn’t been confirmed by Microsoft.
Currently, the Perfect Dark reboot doesn’t have a release date or release window, though if that changes, we'll let you know. Otherwise, fans can play Perfect Dark Zero through backwards-compatibility on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, or as part of Rare Replay.
