You can see why Outriders has been defended by fans since it has an interesting setting that mixes a post-apocalyptic world with a heavy dose of sci-fi and fantasy, making it feel a little bit unique.

Granted, the gameplay is still the usual bit of looter shooter goodness but that’s not a bad thing and if players are invested in a world, they will want to play more of it, which is where the Outriders Journals come in.

Journals in Outriders are scattered in various maps and they help with the worldbuilding, telling us bits and pieces about enemies, areas, and certain NPCs.

While they are scattered, that doesn’t mean there are multiple Journals in one place as Desolate Fort only has one Journal location, though fans in the mood for a grind can probably kill some time.
