New Mobile MMORPG Moonlight Sculptor Hits One Million Downloads in Nine Days

If you're in need of a new cute, fantasy MMORPG to play on your phone or tablet, Moonlight Sculptor is beginning to look like a good fit. Just nine days after its worldwide release, publisher Kakao Games announced the fairytale-style multiplayer adventure racked up one million downloads.

Developed by the same team behind legendary F2P PC MMORPG Archeage, Moonlight Sculptor has enjoyed launch success in countries both in and out of Southeast Asia.

Across Google Play on Android devices, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore pushed the game to the lucrative #1 spot on the charts, with the Philippines and the United States managing a #2 and #5 spot respectively.

Over on the Apple Store, Singapore, again, managed a #1 spot, with Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines coming in close behind at #2.

The game's rapid success means it's then one million strong playerbase was rewarded with large amounts of in-game gold, buffs, consumables and progressively more valuable log-in rewards. New players have until June 18 to claim the glorified New Player bonus to kickstart their own adventure.

The announcement coincides with the game's first major update. Just like the recent mobile MMO release MU Archangel, Moonlight Sculptor's first update brings a new dungeon containing increasingly greater loot.

Mirkan Tower can only be accessed 10 times in any given day. Consisting of 150 increasingly difficult floors, challenging its ascent is only for players level 80 and higher.

After a grueling climb, players can also relax at the game's new Guild Hideout. Its fishing, crafting and relaxation features won't unlock until June 22, but it's there to admire right now.
