Honkai Star Rail March 7th Build (May 2023) - Best light cones, relics, and abilities

March 7th is one of the first characters you meet in Honkai Star Rail. She joins your roster very early in the game, but she'll struggle to stand out without a proper Honkai Star Rail March 7th build. If you need defensive utility, she has you covered with strong shields that can protect you from the heaviest of attacks. She just needs a bit of love.

March 7th is not only an excellent shielder, but she also applies the Freeze debuff and renders enemies useless. When creating a build for her, you want to maximize her DEF and energy regeneration as much as possible. Pairing her shield with certain buffs from the Simulated Universe or Welt can truly make her shine.

How to get March 7th in Honkai Star Rail

You'll welcome March 7th into your party right at the very start of the game. To unlock her additional skills, however, you'll need to pull the four-star unit from any Warp banner.

Best light cone for March 7th

If you want to maximize March 7th’s shield, the light cone you want to go for is Moment of Victory. Unfortunately, it is a five-star light cone and can be difficult to obtain for most players. You can look at other solid alternatives like Day One of My New Life or Amber if you do not have access to Moment of Victory. Moment of Victory: Increases the wearer's DEF by 20% and Effect Hit Rate by 20% when attacking. Increases the chance of being attacked by enemies. When the wearer is attacked, it increases DEF by an extra 20% until the end of the wearer's turn.

Day One of My New Life: Increases wearer's DEF by 16%. After entering battle, increases DMG RES of all allies by 8%. Effects of the same type cannot stack.

Amber: Increases DEF of its wearer by 16%. If the current HP of its wearer is less than 50% of Max HP, it increases DEF by an extra 16%.

March 7th has some excellent Eidolons but you do not need to actively summon for them. Since she is a four-star character, you should see her appear very often in upcoming banners and you will have multiple March 7th Eidolons over time. Her second Eidolon grants a shield automatically which can be very useful while her sixth Eidolon allows her to heal shielded allies, removing the need to run a dedicated healer.
