Hook in Honkai Star Rail.

Ready for the hook, line, and sinker? If you're talking about your enemies, you'll want to put your trust into this Honkai Star Rail Hook build. Honkai Star Rail has a diverse cast of characters that you'll meet throughout your playthrough, but adding them to your team and building them up to snuff isn't easy.

Hook, a troublemaker well-known in the Underworld, is a four-star Fire wielder who can apply a lot of damage over time (DoT) effects on her enemies. Her damage output is solid, and if you give her the right support, she can burn down enemy health bars with no issues.

How to get Hook in Honkai Star Rail

You can pull for Hook in Honkai Star Rail through any of the available Warp banners. Being a four-star unit, she may be rate-up in future banners alongside a signature five-star unit.

The best Honkai Star Rail Hook build

The following build is for Hook. You can find more Honkai Star Rail builds on our dedicated hub page.

Hook works well with other Fire wielders, so you'll want to pair her with other Fire wielders. Our build will focus on increasing Hook’s attack and crit stats as much as possible for consistent damage.

Best Light Cone for Hook

The Moles Welcome You is Hook’s signature Light Cone. It gains damage stacks for every attack, skill, or ultimate that Hook uses. You can snowball hard with the Light Cone and it is worth levelling up. If you do not have The Moles Welcome You, the Woof! Walk Time Light Cone is also a great option as it synergises well with burn damage.

The Moles Welcome You

For every Basic ATK, Skill, and Ultimate used by the wearer, the wearer gains one stack of Mischievous. Each stack increases the wearer's ATK by 12%.

Woof! Walk Time

Increases the wearer's ATK by 10%, and increases their DMG to enemies afflicted with Burn or Bleed by 20%. This also applies to DoT.

If you don’t have either of these Light Cones, consider levelling up any other Light Cone with offensive stats. The only restriction is that it needs to be from the Path of Destruction, else you will not be able to take advantage of its passive.

Best relics for Hook

Hook’s primary damage source is her burn damage, and you want to maximise her attack and Fire damage bonuses as much as possible. You can either go for the Firesmith of Lava Forging set, which boosts her Fire damage, or you can opt for the Musketeer of Wild Wheat set for a bonus attack.

Firesmith of Lava-Forging

  • 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Fire DMG by 10%.
  • 4-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's Skill DMG by 12%. After unleashing Ultimate, increases the wearer's Fire DMG by 12% for the next attack.

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

  • 2-Piece Bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
  • 4-Piece Bonus: The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.

Farming relics in the early game is not recommended, and you should wait for your Trailblaze level to increase for better drop rates.

Since Hook is a four-star unit, her Eidolons are much easier to get. Her first Eidolon is one of the best in the game among four stars, as it gives her Enhanced Skills a massive 40% DMG boost. There is no reason to actively go after four-star Eidolons right now, as the low-rarity units are frequently featured on rotating banners and you should get a lot of Eidolons passively while going after five stars.
