Finding them can be a little tricky, which is why we've put together this guide. Let's take a look at the best ways to get Microprocessors, and what they're used for.

No Man's Sky: How to Get Microprocessors

There are three main ways to get Microprocessors. The easiest is to look for Cargo Drops on a Planet's surface. Look for the green crates specifically, removing the Rusted Metal from them once located. this will often give you a Microprocessor. To speed things up, bring an Exocraft along with you. Here are the other two ways.

  • Craft from Chromatic Metal and Carbon Nanotubes. The Blueprint is received by completing the Scientific Research mission at your base.
  • Purchase from Galactic Terminals

What Are Microprocessors Used For?

You'll use Microprocessors for all sorts of things in No Man's Sky. Here are some of the main functions:

  • Crafting Atlas Passes
  • Crafting the Galactic Trade Terminal
  • Upgrading Exocraft Scanners
  • Building the Artemis Translator
