NBA 2K22 error 4894914b is popping up and giving next-gen players a bit of a headache. The error message won't let PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players connect to the game's servers, which is a bit of a problem if you want to advance in MyCareer mode.
The 4894914b error message isn't much help either. It says:
"There is a problem with your connection to our online services. Please visit http://www.NBA2K.com/status for up to date information."
Except the problem isn't actually with your connection.

2K Support acknowledged the issue on Twitter and said the team is looking into the issue.
At the time of publication, NBA 2K22's server status was all green, though 2K didn't say it had resolved the issue. If you continue getting NBA 2K22 error 4894914b, the best thing to do is just wait, unfortunately.
It's not the first issue NBA 2K22 has run into on next-gen consoles. The game frequently has crashing issues on XSX|S and ran into some problems with inviting squads.
