Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to Fly


After a certain point of the story in Monster Hunter Stories 2 you will unlock the ability to fly. This means you can soar above open areas and travel around a lot faster than riding down on the ground. In this guide we'll explain how flying works, and how to unlock it.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to Fly

To fly in Monster Hunter Stories 2 you will need to rescue Ratha from the Hunters in the Lamure Desert. This is a main story mission that occurs in the fourth main area of the game. You'll need to follow the sandship and fight your way to Ratha. After this, Ratha will gain the Fly Rider Action. This means you can use it while exploring open areas.

How to Fly

To fly, just press B while riding a Monstie that has the Flying Rider Action. The first one you'll get is Ratha, though there are other Monsters in the game that can fly. We won't spoil them here, but make sure to check a Monstie's Rider Actions before adding them to your party. To land, find a clear area and press B again.
