Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to Climb Ivy Vines


Monster Hunter Stories 2 features many self-contained areas to explore and loot. There are obstacles littered throughout each of them, including Ivy Walls that can be climbed with the right Monsties. You'll need to look for these special Monsties in the Loloska region, which is blanketed with ice and snow. Here's how to climb Ivy Vines.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to Climb Ivy Vines

To climb vines in Monster Hunter Stories 2 you will need to press 'B' with a Monstie equipped with the Climb Rider Action. This will allow you to scale the wall. We recommend heading to the Loloska Forest area to look for Monsties that can climb. We've listed two of them below.

Monsties That Can Climb Vines

The first two Monsties with the climbing skill can be found in loloska Forest. You are looking for the Nercylla, a spider-like Monstie, and the Kecha Wacha, an orange ape looking thing. Both of these Monsties can be made to retreat using Paintballs and followed into dens. Both are located in the Loloska Forest so head there and get yourself a few eggs. You can then hatch them and use them to climb Ivy Walls. Here are some more Monsters that can climb:
