Monster Hunter Rise: How to Get Monster Broth


Monster Broth is a rare, late-game material in Monster Hunter Rise that allows players to craft a whole new range of items and upgrade many more. It’s not so easy to find though, but don’t worry - we’ll show you how to get Monster Broth and even how to go about farming it in mass quantities.

How to Get Monster Broth in Monster Hunter Rise

You can Monster Broth by killing and carving up insectoid Temnoceran and Neopteron monsters, found in High Rank missions in the late game. High Rank will unlock by doing Gathering Hub Key Quests, and once you’ve done that, there’s a small pool of monster types who you should focus on slaying to get Monster Broth.

Enemies that Drop Monster Broth

The full list of Monsters that have a chance to drop Monster Broth when carved goes as follows:

  • Rachnoid (highest chance)
  • Altaroth
  • Bnahabra
  • Rakna-Kadaki (Large Monster)
  • Volvidon (Large Monster)

The last two of these will also come with numerous other rewards, but it’s a lot easier to kill Rachnoid en masse and run the odds over and over, especially if you’re just focused on getting the Broth and nothing else.

How to Farm Monster Broth

Currently the most popular method for farming Monster Broth is to take the 6-Star Gathering Hub Quest named “The Lava Caverns Sweep,” which has the player go out and slay numerous Rachnoid. Alternatively, check regularly to see if there’s an outbreak of Rachnoid at the Lava Caverns. If there is, going on an Expedition Tour can reap huge rewards.

Monster Broth is a vital ingredient for crafting many late-game weapons and armour, as well as being used to upgrade countless others. If you’re looking to build something new with it though, it’ll allow you to make the following (combined with other ingredients, of course):

  • Rielle Nulo Red
  • Vicello Nulo Black

  • Melahoa Roots S
  • Moshgarl Creeper S
  • Rakna Armguards
  • Rakna Mail
  • Skalda Crura S
  • Skalda Vertex S
  • Volvidon Vambraces S
