Capcom Unveils New Monster Hunter Stories 2 Gameplay and Rise 3.0 Monsters

Check out the latest trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin below:

Players will be able to find monster eggs in Monster Dens while adventuring. Players can find eggs of varying rarities, and transfer genes between eggs with the Rite of Channelling.

Players can use the system to raise unique 'monsties', the game's controllable creatures, with bonuses for slotting in matching abilities.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 will offer a trio of new amiibo - Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tsukino when it launches on July 9.

Monster Hunter: Rise, on the other hand, will receive another sizeable chunk of content tomorrow, May 27th, with the 3.0 update.

The content will introduce Crimson Glow Valstrax, a variant of the monster found in Monster Hunter Generations: Ultimate that can turn itself into a meteor, as well as Apex Zinogre, which can be found in rampage and standard quests.

It'll also add a new ending to the game's campaign, a new boss battle arena, weapon and armour trees, items and more, alongside bug fixes.

It'll also introduce new Guild Card Medals, as well as premium DLC including hunter voices, stickers, poses, layered armour (for hunters, Palicos and Palamutes) and more.

Capcom also teased upcoming content, with a collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 2 in mid-June, and more content via update 3.1 at the end of June, with more on the way.
