Treyarch Adds Black Ops 3 Hotfix for Weapon and Scorestreak Tuning

Yesterday, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 experienced its latest update, which you may have missed if you didn’t receive the message “The Game Settings Have Changed”.

However, the man himself, David Vonderhaar, took to Reddit to discuss the hotfix and its impact upon issues with several weapons and scorestreaks.

The modifications are occurring prior to next week’s Call of Duty World League qualifiers, in which teams can fight for a spot to join the pro teams already qualified for the Call of Duty: Pro Division. Qualifying matches will take place on PlayStation 4 beginning on Monday, Dec. 14 and lasting until Friday, Dec. 18.

In the Reddit announcement, Vonderhaar spoke of the larger upcoming update stating, “The update we are working on, TU4, is a big one with a lot of great stuff in it. We hope to have that to you soon.” 

Listed below are the major changes from the hotfix which are affecting weapons and scorestreaks of the current version of Black Ops 3. It’s likely won't see the major update until sometime after the CWL qualifiers.  

Weapons:

Submachine Guns

Kuda

  • Increased ability to control recoil.

  • Time increased when aiming down sights.
  • Hip fire spread increased.

Weevil

  • Increased ability to control recoil.

  • Reduced lethal range.

Razorback

  • Increased ability to control recoil.
  • Increased lethal range.

KN-44

  • Increased ability to control recoil.

XR-2

  • Movement speed reduced.

ICR-1

  • Increased ability to control recoil.
  • Hip fire spread reduced.
  • Fixed an issue with the reload animation when a certain magazine was equipped.
