Cloud9 Acquire Call of Duty Roster


Cloud9 have made their official debut into the Call of Duty eSports community, as they announce the acquisition of a new team ahead of the CoD World League Online Qualifiers.

The renowned North American organisation are the latest entity to express their interest in the competitive Call of Duty community, alongside the likes of Luminosity, Counter Logic Gaming and Team Solomid. 

However, in the past 24 hours Cloud9 have acquired a Call of Duty roster for the upcoming online qualifiers for the World League and the 2016 season.

C9's offcial statement can be found below: 

"Today marks the day that Cloud9 announces its competitive debut into one of the biggest game franchises to date. Call of Duty has been the gateway for many of today's gamers of both the casual and competitive nature. We at Cloud9 hope to bring you a squad that is championship capable and a close-knit family as we have with our other teams.

We proudly present to you the 2016 Cloud9 Call of Duty squad:

Matthew "BURNS" Potthoff

Joey "Merk" Deluca

Justin "SiLLY" Fargo

Steve "Mochila" Canle

This squad will make its first official appearance under the Cloud9 banner in the COD World League Online Qualifiers on Monday, December 14th, 2015. To ensure the team’s success, C9’s veteran CS:GO manager Tres "stunna" Saranthus will be at the helm of management and administration for the team. Join us on Monday for the qualifiers and wish us the best.
