MW2 Campaign Remastered Walkthrough: Of Their Own Accord Mission Walkthrough Veteran Difficulty

The remastered campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out now on PS4 and is set to arrive on Xbox and PC on April 30th.

In this article, find a complete walkthrough of the “Of Their Own Accord” mission along with some handy tips and tricks on how to complete the mission on the hardest difficulty.

Mission Walkthrough

Once you have regrouped with your squad, sprint through the trenches and begin eliminating enemies at the front of the target building.

Once Foley has given the command to advance inside the building, make your way inside and start taking out the enemies.

TIP: Watch out for enemies on the second-floor balcony. Armed with the height advantage, make sure to take them out first before changing focus onto the enemies on the ground floor.

Keep pushing through the building, clearing out the remaining enemies on the ground floor before moving upstairs to take out the rest of the enemies inside.

Now on the top floor of the building, eliminate the final wave of enemies in the crow’s nest.

With a bird’s eye view of the Washington Monument, use the Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle to pick off the enemies converging on the other evacuation site.

With the enemies thinned out near the monument, another wave of foot mobiles breach your perimeter.

While your squad deals with those, use the Javelin launcher to take down the opposition helicopters to bide the monument evac site some time.

Now more enemies begin to converge on your position, you have one and a half minutes to escape the building to the roof to board the evac chopper which is en-route to your location.

Once safely aboard the helicopter, use the minigun to suppress any enemy fire.

Despite your best efforts, the helicopter takes a hit from a SAM site sending you and the squad plummeting to the ground.

With minimal ammunition and a hoard of enemies moving in on the crash site, defend the crash site for as long as possible until your screen fades to white.

MISSION COMPLETE!

Obtainable Trophies/Achievements

• Two Birds with One Stone – Kill 2 enemies with a single bullet. 
• Some Like it Hot – Kill 6 enemies in a row using a thermal weapon.
• Three-some – Kill at least 3 enemies with a single shot from a grenade launcher.
• Bird Hunter – Destroy 10 choppers using the Javelin Launcher in “Of Their Own Accord”.

Intel Locations

• Intel #1 – In a lift on the first floor of the building. The laptop is in the close left corner.
• Intel #2 – On the floor with the broken statue on the balcony, turn left into a room with a red square on the wall. The laptop is on a small table.
