The rifle heavily resembles the Type 25, a weapon that has featured in previous COD titles. Armed with impressive mobility and low recoil levels, it's certainly a viable alternative to other rifles that dominate the Season 5 metagame.

The strong mobility enables players to fully utilise the QBZ-83 in a variety of scenarios, whether it’s up close and personal with the opposition or putting down some fire at longer distances. When firing the first few rounds, the recoil can be difficult to control but during sustained fire, it does become more manageable.

It can be tricky to take down a target from long distances but up close and in mid-range encounters, very few weapons can contend with the QBZ.

Is The QBZ A Good Weapon To Use?

After using it over the course of a number of matches, I can safely say that the QBZ-83 is one of the best assault rifles to be using in Black Ops Cold War. The superior mobility to other ARs in the game makes it the ideal rifle to use if you want to get up close and personal with an opponent. It can even contend with an SMG in close-quarters action.
