The Best QBZ-83 Loadout For Black Ops Cold War Season 6

The QBZ-83 assault rifle in Black Ops Cold War is often overlooked when it comes to creating the best multiplayer loadout. The rifle heavily resembles the Type 25, a weapon that has featured in previous COD titles. Armed with impressive mobility and low recoil levels, it's certainly a viable alternative to other rifles that dominate the Season 5 metagame.

This rifle is based on the Type 95, which was developed by the Chinese between 1989 and 1991, towards the very end of the Cold War. With Season 6 in full swing and with Treyarch finally making some changes to certain weaponry, does the QBZ have a place in the metagame once again?

If you're looking to use this weapon for yourself, here is the ultimate QBZ-83 loadout!

Best QBZ-83 Cold War Loadout

The strong mobility enables players to fully utilise the QBZ-83 in a variety of scenarios, whether it’s up close and personal with the opposition or putting down some fire at longer distances. When firing the first few rounds, the recoil can be difficult to control but during sustained fire, it does become more manageable.

It can be tricky to take down a target from long distances but up close and in mid-range encounters, very few weapons can contend with the QBZ.

QBZ-83 Cold War Best Attachments

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 5.56
  • Barrel: 15.5" Takedown
  • Underbarrel: Foregrip
  • Handle: Speed Tape
  • Stock: Tactical Stock

The muzzle brake and foregrip reduce horizontal and vertical recoil, making the initial shots much more manageable. The additions of the speed tape increases aim down sight speed, allowing you to react to any oncoming enemies much faster while the tactical stock drastically improves overall stability when aiming.

Which Secondary Weapon to Use With the QBZ

Now that you've set up the ultimate QBZ build you'll need to add a secondary. The option below can be used to provide tactical support to your team, which will really help over the course of a match.

Secondary

  • Cigma 2

With so many players opting to use Spy Planes and Counter-Spy Planes in order to disrupt you and your team alongside providing additional information, the Cigma 2 makes the perfect accompaniment to this loadout.

This lock-on launcher is ideal for taking out any scorestreaks that patrol the airspace, so keep your eyes peeled in order to earn some additional score and XP.

Lethal

  • Molotov

The Molotov is a viable alternative to a frag grenade or a Semtex. Thanks to the blazing inferno that appears when it hits a surface, it can deal a prolonged amount of damage, giving you the best possible change of securing a kill with minimal interaction.

Tactical

  • Stimshot

Field Upgrade

  • Trophy System

Objective modes such as Domination and Hardpoint always feature one particular area of the map that is the focal point of a lot of action.

Deploy a trophy system in a busy area of the map to block any lethal or tactical equipment that could easily stop you in your tracks.

Perks

  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket
  • Perk 2: Tactical Mask
  • Perk 3: Ghost

Thanks to the Lawbreaker wildcard, the combination of Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask is possible which increases your resistance to enemy lethal and tactical equipment.

Ghost conceals your location on the map when moving. Remember your location will be visible on the minimap when you stop moving so stay on the move!

Wildcard

  • Lawbreaker

This particular wildcard allows you to choose any three perks even if they’re in the same category!

Is The QBZ A Good Weapon To Use?

After using it over the course of a number of matches, I can safely say that the QBZ-83 is one of the best assault rifles to be using in Black Ops Cold War. The superior mobility to other ARs in the game makes it the ideal rifle to use if you want to get up close and personal with an opponent. It can even contend with an SMG in close-quarters action.

If you're looking for an alternative to the Krig 6 or the XM4, I would highly recommend taking the QBZ-83 for a spin.
