Call of Duty: Activision Takes Action Against Cheat Manufacturers With Lawsuit

Although Call of Duty is one of the world's most popular video game franchises of all time, there has been a common problem with this year's titles.

That of course, is the rampant number of cheaters/hackers in Warzone and Modern Warfare.

Well, it appears Activision has had enough, as they have taken legal action against one manufacturer.

Game Over

The announcement of the lawsuit was posted originally on Discord, but later found its way to Reddit.

CXCheats is the company in question, and their owner posted the following message to the members of their Discord.

"As some of you may know, Activision Publishing, Inc. has filed a lawsuit against CXCheats and has made it clear to us that our services violate their Terms of Use. As a result of our lawsuit with Activision, we have agreed to cease development and support for all Call of Duty related products or services sold through the site. These products will not be returning to CXCheats in any form. You also should be aware that using third-party tools in Call of Duty may result in the suspension or banning of your account by Activision Publishing, Inc. or the game’s developers. We apologize for any pain we’ve caused to players of Call of Duty."

Activision Comment

As of now, Activision has not commented on the lawsuit versus CXCheats.

However, we are well aware of their stance on cheating; and it would not surprise us if they file more lawsuits against companies in the near future!
