What Is Wasteland 3?

Starting in 1988 with the first title, Wasteland is a series of isometric RPGs set in a post-apocalypse. Expect to fight merciless factions and mutated nasties in the snow.

Developers InXile were bought by Microsoft in 2018, which allowed the studio to bring in more staff. The game's increased budget allowed for conversational scenes and voice actors to be hired, according to a Polygon article.

The game's campaign will be fully playable in co-op.

Platforms

Despite being bankrolled by Microsoft, the game is actually being published by Deep Silver. As a result, it'll still be released on PlayStation 4, Linux and macOS, as well as Xbox One and Windows.

The game will be available as part of Xbox Game Pass on both console and PC.
