Marvel's Avengers Is Getting A New Villain Sector This Summer Starring The Cosmic Cube

Marvel's Avengers got a new 2021 roadmap last week, and Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have begun teasing more about the next Villain Sector, too.

A new tease appears to hint that the Cosmic Cube is about to come into play, possibly giving the campaign's secondary villain, Monica Rappaccini, with new powers.

Marvel's Avengers Is Getting A New Villain Sector This Summer Starring The Cosmic Cube

As revealed via the game's Twitter account, the new Villain Sector will land this Summer.

"Monica Rappaccini is unfettered by moral considerations in her quest for technological evolution," it reads, before showing Rappaccini fire a beam of energy and build a shield around herself.

It looks like she'll be going up against Old Man Hawkeye, who was added to the game as part of the latest DLC, Future Imperfect.

Villain Sectors are essentially the game's boss encounters, but the game launched with only a few baddies for Earth's Mightiest Heroes to take on.

Content has been an issue for Marvel's Avengers since it launched, with its first two DLC characters being delayed.

Thankfully, Black Panther looks to be arriving later this year, and he's bringing a new Wakanda region with him.
