Loop Hero Death: What Happens When You Die?

You’ll die fairly often in Loop Hero if you’re not careful. You’ll quickly become overwhelmed by enemies if you overstuff the board with hazards, and if you haven’t got the right gear you’ll be unable to fight back. Thankfully, you won’t lose everything upon death, and are able to take some resources back to base camp. Here’s what happens when you die in Loop Hero.

What Happens When You Die in Loop Hero

When you die in Loop Hero you return to Base Camp with 30% of your resources. This is obviously a pretty big hit, though it’s nice to know you won’t lose absolutely everything.

What To Do If You Think You’re Not Going To Make It

Instead of taking on the next battle in Loop Hero, when at low health make sure you head into planning mode and Retreat. This will let you take more resources back to base camp, and will save you some time in getting onto the next loop. Generally we tend to retreat when we’re at 5% health with no more potions, but this obviously depends on which enemies lie between you and your campfire. Keep an eye on the day’s progress too, as meadows will restore health at the start of each day. This may save your life.
