When they’re not gathering alchemical ingredients, playing post-apocalyptic dress-up, or practising their mini-nuke touchdown throws, Fallout 4’s Sole Survivor can often be found fending off the many dangers of The Commonwealth.

Whether it’s pre-war Chinese soldiers lurking below the soil, swarms of ghouls infesting abandoned metro tunnels or imposing Brotherhood of Steel gunships, the sheer range of enemies inhabiting post-apocalyptia makes just staying alive a minor miracle.

Sadly for vault dwellers who enjoy feeling safe or avoiding combat, a new mod has arrived to make The Commonwealth’s most dangerous raiders even tougher to take down, though the reward for doing so definitely looks worth it.

Feel like claiming some killer new power armour from your next skirmish with raiders?

The mod in question is called ‘Tumbajamba's Raider Power Armor’ and is the work of modders Tumbajamba and RedLeviathan, who’ve previously teamed up to outfit the Institute’s synths with some unique power armour.

This time, they’ve decided to deliver the same gift to some of Boston’s meanest bandits, outfitting the leaders of the gangs located at Revere Beach Station, Roadside Pines Motel and Layton Towers with a set of ‘Cagebreaker Power Armour’ each.

Offering slightly better protection than the vanilla game’s raider power armour and featuring a design that conveys a weathered, but threatening vibe, the Cagebreaker suits come in distinct standard and heavy variants.

Bringing down one of the three aforementioned raiders is the only way to add this new armour to your Sole Survivor’s arsenal, with crafting not an option, so make sure you kill them quickly to avoid having to make substantial repairs once you get the armour back to your base.

If you’ve successfully done so and are looking for a fitting weapon to pair with your fresh look, another new mod, ZanthirEAS’ ‘Capital Wasteland Rock-It Launcher’, brings an interesting weapon from Fallout 3 to The Commonwealth.
