Gotham Knights Has Been Delayed To 2022

In a statement released via the game's Twitter account, the developer said "we are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players".

"Thank you to our amazing fans for your tremendous support of Gotham Knights. We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the coming months."

The game was finally unveiled after months of teasers at last year's DC Fandome, and while it's set in the Batman universe, the Dark Knight himself has been killed in this timeline.

That means players will step into the spandex and body armour of Red Hood, Batgirl, Nightwing and Robin, each with their own abilities.

Despite being a co-op game with levelling, WB Montreal has been keen to stress that it isn't considering the title a "game as a service".

With the game now targeting 2022, it could launch in the same calendar year as Rocksteady's upcoming Suicide Squad game.
