Microsoft today announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming to Xbox Series X/S on July 27.
The latest version of Flight Simulator was released on PC last year and the news it will be coming to console will no doubt please players keen to explore the realistic Flight Simulator series and take to the skies without the need of a PC.
Surprisingly though, that wasn't even the biggest news from the Microsoft Flight Simulator segment of the Xbox E3 2021 Showcase.
Remarkably, a new expansion was also announced which looks to leverage the upcoming Top Gun movie.
This new expansion is called 'Top Gun: Maverick' and is a free expansion for the game in partnership with Paramount Pictures to celebrate the launch of the new “Top Gun: Maverick” movie.
When Is Top Gun Coming To Microsoft Flight Simulator
According to the official Microsoft press release the free Top Gun: Maverick expansion pack will premiere alongside the movie on November 19, 2021.
