Microsoft Flight Simulator, winner of the Best Sim/Strategy Game at the 2020 Game Awards, is now playable in VR.
The VR update had been slated for this calendar year, and with 2020 almost over, the team has been able to ensure the update lands smoothly (see what we did there?).
Microsoft Flight Simulator Now Playable In VR
In a new Xbox Blog Post, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, Jorg Neumann, confirmed that the game will be supported on Windows Mixed Reality headsets, as well as Oculus, Valve and HTC VR platforms.
“The flight sim community has been a very active and insightful partner in shaping how the team approached VR, and continues to be a critical partner in our continued development as we make further improvements and add new features to the simulation,” Neumann explains.
“Adding VR to Microsoft Flight Simulator was a direct result of community feedback, and we look forward to continued involvement in the future of the franchise with us.”
The blog also notes that you'll need to have downloaded the latest update.

I can feel my fear of flying kicking in just watching it...
Microsoft Flight Simulator is available on Xbox Game Pass for PC, and will come to Xbox Series S/X next year.
