Microsoft Flight Simulator Modder Adds Mario Kart 8 Tracks

Microsoft Flight Simulator launched over a year ago on PC and since then, we've seen some interesting developments. Alongside an Xbox Series X|S release and planned Top Gun expansion, one modder's now recreated tracks from Mario Kart 8 inside the game.

Putting their work up on YouTube, Illogicoma showcased recreations for Mount Wario, Cloudtop Cruise, Moo Moo Meadows and Rainbow Road. Speaking on Twitter about this, they said:

Microsoft Flight Simulator Modder Adds Mario Kart 8 Tracks

You can find the full video below, though the Mario Kart 8 content doesn't begin until you hit 3:27:04. As for how Illogicoma created this, they used the "Blender2MSFS add-on", which lets you create 3D assets for the game, and then downloaded models of Mario Kart 8's tracks.

Once this was in place, Illogicoma then put rings around the courses, letting pilots glide through them. While this particular mod isn't available publicly, Microsoft Flight Simulator fans can still look forward to World Update 6, which launches in early September, and we'll keep you informed when we know more.
