Metroid Dread: Where to Go After Kraid

Wondering where to go after Kraid in Metroid Dread? Getting the diffusion beam opens several possibilities, but the first thing you should do, if you haven't already, is get the morph ball bombs. You can technically do that before fighting Kraid, but it's much easier to pull off later. After that, it's time to ditch Cataris for a while and head to Burenia.

Getting the Morph Ball Bombs

Head back to Dairon via the shuttle train or teleporter, and head to the uppermost part right before the cold zone. You'll pass through Dairon's massive E.M.M.I. Zone in the process, but you should be familiar with how to deal with it by now. Aside from the E.M.M.I., getting the Morph Ball Bombs is a simple task.

Where to Go After Getting Morph Ball Bombs

Now that you're equipped to deal with a few more obstacles, it's time to take down Dairon's E.M.M.I. for good - almost. First you need a side trip to Burenia.

Leave the room where you obtained the ball bombs, and head to the lower left portion of Dairon. You can use the Morph Ball launcher outside the E.M.M.I. Zone now, so do that, and then keep working your way left until you reach a save room. It's safer than dealing with the E.M.M.I., even though it's a slight detour.

Eventually, you'll reach a new shuttle train. This takes you to Burenia, where the path is, for now, more straightforward. Navigate its underwater sections until you find a new Chozo statue. This one gives you the Flash Shift ability, and you'll use it to access Dairon's Central Unit and take down the E.M.M.I. there.
