Official Emails Suggest Mass Effect Legendary Edition Launches A Day Early On Xbox

We should've expected the week before Mass Effect Legendary Edition's launch to be filled with news. Between that recent trophy list leak on PS4 and news of a hefty day one patch, people who've pre-ordered BioWare's upcoming remastered trilogy on Xbox One have received some unexpected emails.

Across the weekend, several players across different regions were emailed by Microsoft to advise Mass Effect will be available sooner than expected. Specifically, it'll launch on Thursday 13th May, one day before EA had previously revealed.

Right now, there's been no formal confirmation about this from either Microsoft or EA, and the Microsoft Store still shows a May 14th release date, but several users have highlighted this across different regions.

Potentially, this could be a tie-in scheme to promote the benefits of EA Play and/or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but that's purely speculation. While this would certainly be a nice bonus for those who've ordered it, we'll have to wait for an official confirmation.
